My name is Kristyn Weaver, and I was born and raised in Houston, Texas. I received a BA in Accounting and a minor in German from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas.

After graduation, I worked for Ernst & Young, LLP as a tax compliance specialist. Working with tax preparation and tax planning sparked a desire to pursue a career in estate planning. In 1999 I decided to formalize my interests and careers and began law school at South Texas College of Law in Houston, Texas.

While attending South Texas College of Law, I took extensive estate planning and tax classes with the intention of combining my accounting background with my legal training. Additionally, I was extremely active in extra-curricular organizations, including mentorship in the South Texas College of Law Mentor/Mentee Program and Dean of the Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity.

While at STCL, I became a Mock Trial Finalist, earned the highest grade award for Trusts and Fiduciary Responsibilities, and worked as a Judicial Clerk for The Honorable Mike Wood in Harris County Probate Court Two. I received my Doctorate of Jurisprudence in May 2003 and am currently a licensed attorney in the state of Texas.

After law school, I began working as a contract Landman for Exxon Mobil. In that position, my probate and intestacy knowledge provided a solid basis for determining ownership of oil and gas minerals. I helped identify and verify title ownership at Exxon Mobil for two years and then worked in various oil and gas contract positions in the following years, better developing my understanding of the different types of mineral ownership.

In 2006, I decided to pursue my probate and estate planning interests by opening my own law firm. To this day, my knowledge of oil and gas provides a strong basis for clients owning oil and gas properties or receiving oil and gas royalties.

The Kristyn Weaver Law Firm focuses primarily on probate and estate planning. I work with individuals to craft estate-planning solutions to best fit their needs within the confines of the current tax laws.

What works best for one person may not work well for another, as individual needs and goals vary greatly. I believe in accomplishing what is wanted and needed, but am against drafting unnecessary documents.

I offer a variety of packages to better cater to individual needs.
